Bourbon & Stitch is a line of handbags that expresses a modernized femininity. Born from the pure joy of finding remnants with a history and making them part of something new, the line is for the woman who knows it’s the larger story she comes from that connects her to how she will design her path in life. Beyond molds; outside labels; above comparison. Bourbon & Stitch is for the woman in pursuit of the art of becoming.

Each bag is one of a kind, designed to savor the unique shape and style of the found textile. The limitation of the remnant is the heart and strength of each piece.

Creating and designing is a sport to me.  As a child, I loved playing with any cast-off material, reworking it to see what it could become.  It was before eco-values were trending, but I innately loved the challenge of giving something a second life in new form.  My stash of collected remnants has grown steadily over the past decade – luxurious suede from a London artisan, prized wool from a local mill, buttery leather from a French craftsman – and, this excitement still drives me today.

My favorite moment in the creative process comes when I've been working the piece despite its limitation - too small, too thick, or a rough spot - and I realize that that limitation is meant to be the heart and strength of the bag. There’s truly something magical about following the design as it unfolds on its own.

In each bag created, I see how similar our paths are to these remnants. We all belong to a story larger than just ourselves and are in the process of becoming part of something different. Our limitations invite a stunning, unique design to be uncovered, welcoming us to bring something new to the world.

I believe a woman chooses an investment accessory to reflect how she sees herself, how she wants others to perceive her, but more importantly, who she can become.
